How to get a first time buyer mortgage

When my husband and I were married, 12 years ago, we were in no position to buy a home. The house we were renting came up for sale and we only had 2 options, move or buy. We really didn’t feel we were in the best position to buy; however, my husband looked into homeloans. We were able to get a “first time buyer” home loan. I’m so glad we did. Although it was tough, we have lived in this house now for over 9 years. We’ve raised our three children in this house. Eventually, we would like to move to a bigger home but for the time being, we are happy here.
