I’ve been all over the world travelling and have met a lot of entertainers along the way, from sword swallowers, to jugglers, to fire-eaters. Bass violin is the generic modern term used to denote various 16th- and 17th-century forms of bass instruments of the violin (i.e. “viola da braccio”) family. My best friend Janet was also my college roommate and she is my opposite.  I am serious, plan things out carefully, and she loves to have spur-of-the-moment fun.  She was used to me not getting serious with boys in school because I wanted to concentrate on studying.  Our senior year I came home and told her I was in love.  She hugged me and made me promise that if I got married, it would be a Miami Beach Wedding so we could party in South Florida.  Two years later I did get married, and Janet was my maid of honor.  She was the hit of the reception, as she partied in the balmy Florida night.
