My Girlfriend Won The Spyware Adware Removal Contest

The other day I was watching this documentary on the discovery channel. Then suddenly, my girlfriend burst in. She is studying computer programming, and she won first prize in the spyware adware removal software contest. Part of being a software engineer is that you need to do some free work, just like lawyers do. Most people don’t know that all that free anti virus software you find on the Internet is pro bono work done by software engineers trying to make a name for themselves in one company or another. It’s quite a complicated process, but I wanted to get back to the discovery channel, so I didn’t have too much time to talk to my girlfriend about it.
