I always wondered what adhd stood for but never bothered to look it up until my brother Paul was diagnosed with the disorder. Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder is usually associated with children, but Paul just turned 21 years old. I always though he was just lazy and never finished what he started, but now I know it is a medical condition that can be treated. Paul tried a couple of adult adhd medications until he found the one that worked best for him. The medication is called Strattera, and it has made a world of difference in Paul’s behavior. He has returned to college and even made the honor roll last semester. We are very proud of him now.
