Learning English and Genealogy Research

Is English hard to learn? There are many reasons why English is the hardest language to learn, but at the same time there are many things about it that are easy.  The complicated verb, noun and adjective grammar structures in the language make it one of the hardest languages around to learn from scratch, but the fact that so many people speak it make it easier to learn at the same time.  For example, English language classes for Chinese immigrants to North America have a very high success rate in their teaching because of the immersion in the English language people receive outside the classroom.  All in all, English is a difficult language to learn, but English language learners at the same time have advantages that people wanting to learn other languages do not.
