My best friend just called me a little while ago. She wanted to know how the wedding speech that I am writing for her reception is coming along. I told her that I have not yet finished the speech but that I am getting a lot of good advice on what it needs to be about. My friend then started to tell me what she does not want in the speech. She made me promise that I wouldn’t talk about anything embarrassing. She also wanted to make sure that I wasn’t going to mention any of her old boyfriends. I made the promise.
