We recently had our kitchen remodeled. We now have granite counter tops, custom built counters and all new appliances. Over the stove I have a powerful light that I can turn on to use to see what i am cooking. There are also ceiling extractor fans to remove the cooking smoke and odors from the room. I can run the fans on high or low but with either speed they let me know they are running by the noise that they make. While I would rather have them run on a quite mode the sound is a very good reminder that I need to turn them off.
