As a human resources professional, it’s hard for me to fathom how those before me did my same job without the invaluable resources we have today.

Ever since the personal computer arrived on the scene some 20 odd years ago, almost every workplace function (in almost every business category) has been streamlined, optimized, and made more time-efficient.

This is the role software designers have played by developing countless programs for virtually every job possible.

In my world, for example, having the ability for a software package to scan resumes and cover letters, provide reliable applicant tracking, and interview scheduling are such time savers that like I said, I don’t know how HR personnel did without it in the past.
