Don’t think I will hear the end of it

There are plenty of options when it comes to taupo accommodation but even though there are a lot you still need to get in early if you want a place to stay for iron man weekend. I learned my lesson on this last year. My partner had said to me about a month out from the event that I should book a place but I didn’t think that was necessary and how wrong I was. I left it till about a week before hand and for the life of me I could not find a place with any vacancies. We ended up staying at a backpacker hostel for the weekend which my partner was not even remotely impressed by.
