Hanmer was a place my girlfriend and I have been wanting to get to for quite a while and eventually we managed to find the time and have the spare money to do it. We decided we would fly down and then drive to it. We picked up a car from car rental christchurch on Friday morning and drove up to Hanmer. It didn’t take us that long to get there and by early evening we were sitting in a hot tub with a glass of wine. Apparently during winter the place is even more amazing and you can sit out like that but be surrounded by snow.
